Why does your character worship Iomedae, out of all the other Gods? Lawful Good deities, especially ones so closely tied with actively banishing evil and literally crusading can quickly fall flat in terms of character depth or worse, fall into the Lawful Good trap of acting evil in the name of good.Ī good first step would be considering the following things: Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of experience in my past games with let’s say… over-zealous followers of Iomedae. Hi there! I’m not super strong in the character building department unfortunately, but I’m super interested in the rp-aspect of the game, and especially of Iomedae, so I’d like to give my two cents on that portion of your request. TL:DR: starting from level one how would you make a cleric 15/fighter 2/ inheritors crusader 3 with a long sword and the shielded gauntlet style viable? So what order would you take the levels? what stats would you prioritize? Armor? And most importantly what feats (both for actually being good at general combat and that would be good to combine with SGS) Bonus points if you can give advice on roleplaying a cleric of iomedea. I also like the idea of the shielded gauntlet style just because it seems like a fun way to play, and I am sold on a long sword as my main weapon.

So far I only have a rough idea of the character I am thinking cleric 15/fighter 2/ Inheritors crusader 3 with the war (taction) and good domains.

NOTE: this doesn't need to be optimized just workĪlright so I am making a character for a campaign and am thinking I am going to do a cleric (angel fire apostle) to keep my party alive but it's a small party (3 people including myself) with at least one wizard so I need to be able to handle melee combat (survive and keep others alive, not kill stuff myself before people tell me to go paladin).
